About Jessica Beck
I am an Indianapolis based artist who works in a variety of media. I am interested in book making, print making, drawing, and painting. My primary media tends to be ink, graphite, watercolor and acrylic, however, I am constantly exploring new media to enhance my skills.
I have a background in fine arts and fashion design. I went to college to earn a BFA, but instead became enamored with the world of fashion. After Graduating with two degrees one in fashion design and one in merchandising I decided it was time to come back to my first love, fine arts. I taught fashion design, history and merchandising classes between 2012 and 2017 at the university level. I left to pursue personal passions. I prefer to explore social commentary and feminist themes in my art, but never try to limit my exploration.
